I’ve noticed a pattern. I work in “spurts.” There are periods when I feel prolific and satisfied and periods when I feel stagnant and stuck. I am an analyzer, so I like to think I can figure out the WHY. It probably isn’t important, but I believe knowing why will give me the tools I need to jump on in.
For me, it all boils down to fear. What do I have to be afraid of? Well… I might not find my groove, I might waste my time on something I don’t like, I might finally figure out that I don’t know what I’m doing, I might finally figure out that I don’t really like what I’m doing… The list goes on and on. Of course these fears are kind of ridiculous. But fear speaks loudly and clearly and tells me I can’t lose if I don’t play.
The Zero card of the Tarot is the Fool. The Fool is all about BEGINNINGS, optimism, naivety, courage, and rebirth. The Fool hangs in my studio reminding me to take the leap. I practice progress, not perfection. I am dancing in the right direction to change my pattern and shorten or eliminate the stagnants and stuck.
Jump on in! The Fool always has a companion, my fool has two. Don’t forget your tribe if you need help taking the leap to your creative potential.
